Happy Monday everyone!!
Yes, my bubs and I survived another mean cheese weekend, complete with lots of rain...though we did manage to get her our and about to the park a few times...thank god.
Though the unfortunate thing is that the park we live next to is being taken over by horrible "elements", such as drug dealers, and foulmouthed trashy folks...
I know I know, I am a total snob but here me out...this is a little snippet from the park yesterday.
(set the scene, we all went over during a break in the weather...there was no one there...at first)
SO after a bunch of time of us watching the mean cheese as she runs amuck, we notice an enormous pack of people shambling to the park...this pack includes 1 young mother, who is fat, bitter, has dirt all over her, and is wearing flip flops, a white tank top, and white capri pants...the pants were not supposed to be lycra and tight but she was big, so that is how they looked.
She had in each arm, a baby wearing just a diaper (gag) and trailing behind her, are two girls one small on slightly larger...both wearing bathing suits, and NO shoes (um, hello....this is the damn city), there was also a couple more children lollygagging behind.
She gets there and immediately plops the two diaper babies in the baby swings gives them each a lackluster push and then sits on a big kid swing and starts to smoke a cigarette...
big bathing suit girl goes to the tire swing, and little bathing suit girl is calling to the white clad beast that she wants to be pushed.
Little bathing suit: hey get over here and push me
Big Fat Mean Mom: I'm not pushing you bitch
Little Bathing Suit: I;m not the bitch, your the bitch.
Big Fat: no you're the bitch
Little bathing suit: no you!!!!
It was at this point that my bubs and I gave each other "the look" and we walked home...it was one of those moments that we thanked whatever powers that be that the mean cheese is deaf and special needs so she has no clue what just went on.
yuck.
So that was my Sunday...complete with a post mean cheese trip to the Barnes and Noble, as I was aching for a new magazine...luckily they had a new issue of Flair, a wonderful Italian fashion magazine with an English supplement so I can read the articles instead of just looking at the pictures, which I am known to do.
ok, so you are probably wondering what the pictures are at the top of this post...well my dears they are some of the images that are in my new....
Button sets.
I am so excited, they are up and available in
my shop as we speak, they made their little debut on Saturday night.
Can I tell you how geeked up I am about them....I seriously can hardly believe that they are mine, they came out so beautifully, and they look like candy....and we all know how much i like candy....
oh, and here is something, I am on a diet...yes loves it is that time of year (ok I should have started sooner) but I am really trying to watch what I eat, as my sweet tooth is killing me, well maybe not killing me but making me larger than I should be...
so no more eating cheesecake and ice cream for dinner...sigh, I know I am going to miss it too, I really am.
ok, and one last bit of news before I end this long and rambling post....here is the
link to Carla's photos she took of my art that is hanging at
Scribblesok, tomorrow I will really and truly post my nominations for the Thinking Blogger Award (I know you are all anxiously awaiting, lol....it's like the blog Oscars you know.
