3 things to be braggy about

Good morning.

ok I know the question burning on everyone's minds...you are all wondering about Dancing With the Stars....(well I know at least 2 of you are, lol) all that will come tomorrow in an update about a girls night out and possibly....possibly a sort of big announcement.

but anyway, today I am going to be braggy braggy.

First....I was lucky enough to be featured on a great new website called The Chick's Guide, which is a division of Cantata Books. You must all go there in droves to look at it, I am on the home page down towards the bottom, and trust me it was more than an honor being there.

Second.....ok see the big blue piece in today's post....well this was a wonderful labor of love of mine, and part of me stretching myself as an artist, you see the color scheme, not really my normal thing, and the subject matter, though another passion of mine- architecture, was again not my normal thing. Also, the size of the piece was bigger than I usually work at 16x20 inches. You see, I am not resting on my laurels I am sticking to the resolutions and working bigger...telling new stories.

So, once I finished it and listed it in my etsy shop, I was happy, fulfilled with a wonderful sense of completion, so believe me my jaw just about hit my desk when about 10 minutes later. It was gone, sold...snatched up.

um, wow. Really amazing feeling.

Thirdly, I got a wonderful feedback from a buyer yesterday saying she loved her piece etc, but she also said somehting else that made me squeal. She said she had received her latest issue of Pasticcio and that my work was featured in it (that's the other picture shown today of my piece "The Lake of Dead Languages".

Now, this was especially thrilling because I have not gotten my copy yet, so she was nice enough to scan in my page and email it over so I could share it with all of you.

Now, if you are not familiar with Pasticcio, you should be. I drool over my issue #1 on a pretty regular basis. This is a Quartz (that's lingo for a Quality Art Zine), it is put out by the lovely and amazingly talented Sarah Fishburn and Angela Cartwright (yes, the same Angela Cartwright that was my bubs' first love, Penny....from Lost in Space). Sarah and Angela are both really talented, like scary talented so being in this zine....um wow, it's like winning an Oscar, so if you can....make sure to get issue #2 because I am in it, and pick up issue 1 if you can as well. The book itself is really high quality, beautiful printing and paper, less a "zine" and more a collectible art book.

ok done being braggy bragerson.

xoxoxo
