Is this a vacation??

Good morning!

hope you all had a lovely holiday, I know I did....you see, though our family is far way and my darling bubs had to work I took.........time off....yup, I have been resting and resting.

Proudly proclaiming as I lounged on the couch that I was not going to do "anything".

well that's not entirely true, I did watch movies like Little Women, I did eat A LOT, I read books, we snuggled, we went to the movies, we tried to make cookies (they were a disaster) and had awesome conversations like this.

me- Do you think there is such a thing as a squirrel whisperer?

my bubs- what? like the ghost whisperer?

me- no like a horse whisperer

Bubs- like squirrel girl??

me- no.......you see I was watching the squirrels and I saw beauty (this is what I call the albino squirrel) on the roof of that house (this is when I pointed to the roof of a house 2 doors down) and then I said out loud "come here please" and even though I did not say it loud and I was inside, beauty came all the way over to our fence right away.

bubs- (he gives me a look that is part "you're adorable" and part "you need meds")

me- it's true it happened, I think she knows me.

so there you have it that was my couple days off, there were also gifts given and received both good and bad.

SO like with any days off I am finding it really hard to get back into wanting to do anything besides eating cookies, I was going to dance today but could not bring myself to do it, so tomorrow for sure I will, you all have to guilt me into doing it if I don't.

promise???

I hate squirrels, always seemed rat like. We have some BIG ones here and they are literally the size of cats. I wouldn't hate them so much if one of them hadn't jumped/fallen from a tree onto my shoulder a few years back causing me to need therapy and about 12 scalding showers.

That said, I'm sure Beauty knows you and loves you. It reminds me of one time when my ex-hubby/now-BFF and I were at a deer park and there weren't any deer near the fence or visible or anything. I executed my deer call and a few came out to say hello. Talent we have, true talent.

You'll feel really good after you dance tomorrow. I promise! :)

WHEN you move out here, we can be exercise buddies! :)

hmmm...can't promise to guilt you as I am eating cookies for breakfast

When I was a kid we had a neighbor that used to feed squirrels right out of her hand. It was fascinating to watch them run up each step timidly, take the peanut & then perch up on their back legs to nibble away right there next to us. Maybe you have found a new calling :)

Hi Jen!
I tagged you today on my blog. It's completely voluntary, of course, whether you'd like to continue the tag. Hugs.

I'm so glad you're back. And yes I do believe that there can be whisperers for any kind of animal... I'm most definitely a cat whisperer.

I can't wait to see your new work and I am sure that you will dance because it makes you happy.

Hello, I am glad to have come across your blog. I love the squirrel convo it sounds like something my love and I would discuss. Hang in there and don't let that old p.o.o.p mess with you and Mean Cheese.

Shucks. I was in C-bus yesterday. I should have emailed. I thought about emailing, but never got around to it. Had I known it was lounge-o-rama over there, I would have emailed. Ah well. At least I didn't interrupt ;)

If I had cookies here in NH, I would eat them. I left them all in OH. On purpose.

Peace out, Squirrel Girl.

I'm better at being an enabler than a motivator, but yes, I will do my part in inspiring (read: guilting) you into dancing if it comes to that.

Squirrels are scary.

I'm not looking forward to going back to my usual schedule, but I gotta make a living I suppose. More cookies for everyone!
