Tag-lite

ok I am doing another tag but I am cheating...I am not tagging anyone back, take it on yourself if you like, and I hope you do.

the lovely Karen Beth tagged me so here goes....

What were you doing 10 years ago?

ok ten years ago....I was living in NH and less than a year into my first horrible marriage to that no good hippie, I was working a bad job as a coffee slave....I had yet to go to the Institute to study acting again, and was doing nothing creative...just work, and sort of think about what the hell had I gotten myself into with the whole being married and being 21 thing.

What were you doing 1 year ago?

One year ago I was just starting to do well on Etsy so that was exciting in a lot of ways...we still had the comic shop and was working there far more than full time and not seeing my bubs very much so much. I was working on Stiletto Heights #3 at the time and was convinced that I had found a great artist (which he was/is), too bad he had a crap load of mental issues (I didn't know at the time), and also had been arrested for beating up women (something I def. did not know at the time).

Five snacks you enjoy:

  1. Ice creams
  2. cakes
  3. Starbucks white chocolate lattes
  4. luna bars
  5. yogurt

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:

1 - Two of Us - Beatles
2- You Just May Be The One -Monkees
3 - Jackson - Johnny Cash/ June Carter
4- The Blower's Daughter - Damien Rice
5 - The Entire Soundtrack to Les Miserables

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:

1 - Pay off all debts (mine and bubs)
2- go to doctor (me and bubs)
3- make sure mommy was ok
4- shopping spree for my bubs and myself
5- make sure the mean cheese is ok

Five bad habits:

  1. Procrastination.
  2. scratching my eczema until it hurts
  3. twisting my hair until it is tangled
  4. self doubt
  5. picking my finger nails too much

Five things you like doing:

1- Shopping
2- Day Dates (and night dates) with my bubs
3- reading
4 - crafting
5 - napping (I am addicted to the nap)

Five things you would never wear again:

1- shoulder pads
2- shorts
3- big wool hippie sweaters
4- stirrup pants
5 - birkenstocks

Five favorite toys:

1 - magazines
2- complete new yorker on cd rom
3 - my peeps (all my action figures)
4- camera
5 - Lord of the Rings sword fighting game

ok...that is that, more of the useless stuff that you all love so much!!! SO with that I will leave you, today is a day of sadness for me...as they let Le Paris out of prison...which sadly means that sweet little Nicole Ritchie is probably one step closer to it...

These are scary times we are living in....scary times.

(as always imagery today is available in my shop)

Ah... more that we have in common.

I too love ice creams. I've recently become acquainted with Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches and they are divine. I like to nuke them for eight seconds before devouring them as it makes them a bit mushy and good. Mmmmmm... Might have one for breakie. :)

We also, as it turns out, have many of the same habits including procrastination, self doubt and picking the fingernails. Why why why do we do those things?!?

And of course we are both suckers for reading and napping. Napping especially for me. I do love to nap.

However, we differ on the big wool hippie sweaters. I love those but then... I'm an oddball. Ha! :)

Thanks for doing the little tag.

xo,

Karen Beth :)

To steal a quote..."You've come a long way baby!" Your work gets better and better! I am always so deeply touched by the images you use and how they are described.

This tag was fun!

I used to wear yellow stirrup pants when I was 5. I still occasionally get nostalgic about them, even though they were a sartorial travesty.

Re: Not enough people have watched Clockwatchers. I only knew one before I posted. It's underrated.

I am too, a fan of the nap. It's unbelievable the times we live in when I wake in the morning to find that the headline news is Paris is out of jail. As the war rages on in Iraq and men and women are dying to save their country we must be reminded that the stupid drunk driving coke sniffing slut is free from her gilded cage. Grrrrrrr. But I am not angry, no not at all.
