Tuesday is the new Monday

hi all

hope you all had a wonderful weekend, sorry for the no bloggy blog yesterday, you see I took a much needed mini mental health day...and I needed to be anti social to get everything done I needed to.

I worked from 8:00am-10:00pm last night making things and packaging a million things as well, after a shockingly good weekend on Etsy (I sold 30 things in 2 days!!) .

Thank you all for the compliments on the mirrors as well, you should see them in person, they take my breath away with how nicely they were done by kittycrossbones, (seriously she is a wonder!!). A lot of the mirrors sold already but I do have more to list as well so keep you see out.

ok as a type this it is a little after 7:00am and I am sitting in the cool of my air conditioned room, soon I will have to brave the heat and go into my working room to paint before it gets too hot...it was 97 here yesterday....and you can only imagine what it is doing to my hair...it's no good.

We even broke down and went to the grocery shop last night for some Frozen Yogurt...while there waiting in the checkout line, I noticed that they have spirited up the joint with various "gift baskets" I use the quotes and if you could see me I am rolling my eyes as well...you see these horrible things can only be described as "Ohio Gift Baskets"...seriously one of them was 2 bottles of Budweiser (in plastic bottles) 2 plastic cups, some processed meats in sausage form, but they were not cold...so that is definitely not a good sign, it also had 2 plastic cups and some peanuts.

I was mortified....how is that something that would pass for a gift basket....I know with it being Father's Day and all that is probably what they were going for, but my bubs had a good point, guys don;t want a gift basket....nothing with clear cellophane and a bow....please.

So that horrible meats and beer monster is probably what passes as a wedding gift here.

sigh.....we need to move to a better part of town.

seriously it makes me feel a lot less classy to see things like this, in fact it almost outrages me, lol...how can the 15th largest city in the country be this overrun with white trash hillbillies, I honestly wonder this.

ok, now I must brave the heat and humidity and work a bit before it gets to be 100 degrees...I will be cathing up on all your blogs today (promise!!!)

photos today are some new pieces, and mirrors...the search function on etsy is all messed up so it is sort of impossible to see the new pieces now, this is something I am trying my hardest not to stress about I know they are fixing it but at the same time...this is my job so not being seen makes it hard.

oh well, I promise tomorrow I will be very prepared with a great celebrity letter.

until then

xoxo
jenn

congrats on all the sales. What a super busy weekend you've had
we are also one of the fattest cities in america, I wonder why?

The new work is lovely. Hope the heat won't keep you out of the workroom today.

Actually, I would love a gift basket. If it had, say, money in it. Or if -- and this is purely hypothetical -- it was very large, and Feist was sitting inside.

Congrats on all the sales, I hope it continues. Two years ago, a friend of a friend lodged at my apt for a few days and he was from Ohio and he drank budweiser, he left several bottles in my fridge and well, it's still there. Although, it might not be if my heartache continues and I get desperate. You def need a trip to NYC, you can help pull me out of my hazy misery. I demand you and bubs come! Plus you can stock up on supplies and knockoffs.

When I lived in Columbus our hilbilly neighbor drank Natty Light on a regular basis.

There is a good beer that is brewed in Cleveland and available in much of Columbus called Great Lakes Brewery.

I can just imagine it. It's your wedding day and someone brought a gift basket filled with imported beer (how cosmopolitan) and German stein mug. Now, that's classy. :-)

We have been experiencing weird weathers in NYC. It was hot two weeks ago, then cool last week and mild this week.

Oh my... those gift baskets do sound dreadful. Eeeek.

But, at least you did get some frozen yogurt. Was it tasty? I hope so!

Love love love the mirrors, as you know, since I was one of your thirty sales! I'm so glad that I got the tree mirror. It was my fave and my purse is eagerly awaiting its arrival. Yay!

xo,

Karen Beth :)

Did they have a gift basket with that fluorescent fish bait in it too? (or for the people with too many mouths to feed...one with condoms? snort) Oh dear...lol, I may have stepped over the line...

Congrats on all your sales!
