up all night day 3
sorry for the no show the past few days, you see once again Scribble is sick, or I should say, was sick.
It started late Saturday and was horrible, he was up all night as were my bubs and I with him....constant barking and growling. We spent the night all curled up on the couch with him...Sunday he was feeling better but not great and once again Sunday night rolled around and he was up all night barking and I came to sleep on the couch with him.
yesterday (monday) he seemed good, back to normal Scribble behavior, full of energy and love, so trust me it was surprising to be woken up at 1:00am with barking....which lasted all night.
I think now he is just spoiled and wants us to be with him downstairs on the couch, all sleeping and watching old movies, like a sick kid who hated being sick but still does not want to go back to school.
so that is the past few days, he is asleep now and I took a nap for an hour...though I was guilt ridden the whole time, as I know my bubs is at work...not able to nap, so really it's not very fair, for me to be sleepy sleeperson while he is at work. So now I am up and out of bed and starting my day.
so if any of you know how to get a puppy to stop barking all night that would be really appreciated as well.

Ah, see, this is why I can't have a dog. At least right now. I want to play with them and smooch them, but I just don't have the time or energy right now for the taking-care-of (or the poop-picking-up). This is why I like visiting Amanda and her dog.

Maybe a new toy, like a stuffed bunny or something? I'm reaching here, I know nothing about dog care.

I only have a kitty, so I have no advice to give...I hope that it all gets straightened out soon...
I don't know if you are crate training your puppy but what he needs to learn is how to comfort himself. He won't learn unless he is left to bark after a strong "NO". I have found that when you put puppy to bed, cover the crate with a towel or light blanket so he knows (and starts to learn) it is sleep time, and with less distraction he will soon calm down. If you Google crate training there is tons of info out there. You have to be firm though.
Douglas sends Scribble some get well licks! I love your pendants!! I have some bobbypins that my fancifully twist of a sister gave me for Christmas. Since it's 90 degrees and climbing in Tucson, I wear those bad boys everyday!!
good luck with scribble. Puppies are a lot of work, especially "bedtime training".
if he knows you will stay up with him all night he wil continue that behaviour.
