Some Very Random Things

1- I always think Rhinos are extinct...I think it is because they look so much like dinosaurs, but I am always taken aback every time I see one on tv, there is a moment of shock...then I realize what I am seeing, and that I am a moron.

2- I sometimes blare classical music as loud as possible and I ballet dance through my whole house, I say ballet dance because I guess technically they are ballet moves, but I most assuredly do not look like a ballet dancer when I do them.

3- I talk to my dog, a lot. He listens too, very intently and I have caught myself saying aloud to him "I wish you could talk", and every time I say it I have a few seconds of slight fear that he will start talking....he has a very smart little face and it looks like he is telling me "I will, in time..."
Maybe I have just seen and read too many fairy tales and comics.

4- I saw Iron Man this weekend and have to say that as a comic movie it is one of the most flawless I have seen.

5- I think Shirly Jackson writes the most frightening books I have ever read, if you have not read "We Have Always Lived In The Castle" you must!!!

I wish my dogs could talk too...i tell them all the time. I think its because they have such human names (Bob and Janey)... I want to know their story because we saved them from the shelter.

Ooooooooo. *going to Amazon right now to find Shirley Jackson*

I knew my cat could follow everything I had to tell her. She looked so wise and responded at just the right moments in just the right way. But she freaked me out one day when she looked up and meowed a very convincing version of "Mama." Yikes.

Interesting post.... I don't have a dog but I talk to my horse. Shirley Jackson does write with a certain flair for fright!

Sometimes, I expect my computer to talk back! As far as rhinos are concerned -- I hear ya -- I feel that way about ostriches -- the just look SO prehistoric! :)

Iron Man = Awesome Man. I think. I kind of stopped paying attention after the Indiana Jones trailer.

Dah-dah-DAH-DAH, Dah-dah-dah, Dah-dah-DAH-DAHH...

Seriously, though, great movie.

I talk to my dog so much! When my husband is home, he laughs at me, but I can't stop. And my dog picks up enough of my words that sometimes he does what I'm asking him to do, so that just encourages me.

I know what you mean...I am forever just waiting for the cat to say something to me...I mean, it's not enough that she rolls her eyes continuously...

See, I knew that my cats could understand me the way your dog understands you. And my husband thinks I'm crazy.....lol!

Your list is brilliant! I loved the one about rhino's - I often get that when I see an actor on tv who I have been convinced has been dead for years. I must get that book! xxx

Pets definitely understand their owners, maybe one day he will talk to you!

Have now heard a couple great Iron Man reviews. I never would have imagined Robert Downey Jr as a superhero but have to check it out now!

These are awesome random thoughts! I have to tell you, I have two dogs and two cats...and I talk to them all of the time. I swear...it's like full conversations. Yeah, if they could talk that would be so cooooool.

I second the Shirley Jackson sentiment. I don't get scared very much but she is chilling.

LOL rhinos! Sometimes I think woolly Mammoths are still around and I'm not making fun here.

You're dog can speak, you just have to decide what kind of accent he has.
