ok, so now it's fall

so, let's cut to the chase....yes, I am still sick, very sick....I know, I know....I should go to a doctor, but I feel like I'm getting better, I am slightly less miserable than I was yesterday or the day before....

And well, let's get serious, a certain stiletto loving girl who has no health insurance and makes her living by selling art online...we she has to pick and choose when she goes to the doctors.

But in all seriousness thank you all for the get well comments and e mails it's been very sweet.

What was not helping matters was that it has been 90 degrees for the past almost week here...but the heat is gone and I am having a morning mocha...yes a mocha.

Now, it's fall.

So, I believe my bubs and I are going to be having a litttle party, a house warming/Halloween party, it sill be small(ish) and casual (meaning you don;t HAVE to dress up...but I will be).

This will be the first Halloween party I have ever thrown, and I am going to have to stop myself from getting so geeked up about it, already right now I am getting jittery, in a good way. Inside my head I am obsessing about costume choice, which we all know means obsessing about the lifelong question....

Am I thin enough to gtet away with a slutty costume???

Sorry this is a ramble, I am trying to fend off the sneezing and the desire for sleep trying to be "productive".

Truth is, I want to be on the couch and watching a scary movie, normally in October all I watch are scary movies on tv, but we have had so little time to do that, so far we have just watched The Ring, because my bubs had not seen it. It was great to watch it with him, when I asked if he thought it was scary he just said...

"yeah it was, but I would have seen a couple seconds of the tape and known I did notwant to watch it, so I would have turned it off, and been fine"

he's adorable.

I am aching to watch The Exorcism of Emily Rose, which believe it or not is the scariest thing I have even seen, it's the type of movie you don't think will be scary and then all of a sudden.....your awake at 3:00am and convinced the devil just wants to possess you....

AM I the only one who does that???

So, a friend of mine, Aaron, posted this on his blog too, so I am going to throw it out here as well....what;s your favorite scary movie??? I am in the mood to see some new ones.

(please keep in mind, I like scary movies, not lame gorefests like "Saw")

sorry no pictures today....I have none formatted that I am happy with....damn plague is keeping me from being very productive.

PS- GO SOX!!!!! Love the fact that it's going to be Red Sox Indians fighting for the AL title....Yankees suck, spread the word.

I LOVE that even though you are feeling really ill, you are still able to consider if you can get away with a slutty look. Ha!

Feel better soon :)

I get spooked very sorry can't recommend any scary movies...I tend not to watch and if I do happen to see one I have to keep telling myself that I will not dream about that I don't (I'm weird) lol

Good luck with your Halloween party :)

I think a good Hitchcock, is what you need to scare the sickness out of you!

How about "The Birds" or "Vertigo"?

When you say "a friend of mine", and the "friend" is me, I want my name listed and a link back to my blog, dammit! I crave recognition; nay, I demand it.

:) :)

Kidding, Jenny from the Block. Glad to hear you're feeling 4.7% better; it's gotta start somewhere. You've got a couple fun packages coming in the mail this week which should help to cheer you up (seriously, I sent them yesterday; aren't you proud?).

Get well...xoxoxo

The scariest of scary movies for me has got to be The Shining - the original with Jack Nicholson.

Also, I just want you to know that I turned the Yankees game on at work last night and a small group of us gathered around to watch the final innings, cheering like idiots when the Yankees lost. I especially liked all the sad-sack shots of the Yankees sitting in the dugout looking like they might cry...

Umm scary movies - mark hated them so we don't watch much - oldies are the goodies - Candyman scared me something silly, The Others with NIcole Kidman really really scared me - beautul costumes though.

Drink some of that "Apple Cider" why don't ya - though I think you muight wanna add just a little something...
Scary movies eh, well I don't watch that many as Colin (my movie watching
lover man is a total wuss) but I do agrre The Others was pretty dang good, more sad than scary though. The Exorcism of Emily Rose was chilling.
As fas as costumes, I am vacillating between slutty but still alive Antoinette and normal hippie chick.
Glad you got your two little prezies, hope you didn't have them.

Glad you are feeling better. Planning the party should keep your mind off of being sick.

My scary movie recommendation is Suspiria.

Oh no!! You darling ,still sick... Well, Let me tell you this, I have health insurance and I still never use it. So, don't feel bad. Health insurance isn't always that helpful. They charge and arm and a leg and still bill me for doctors visits.. The whole thing is overwhelmingly sucky when it comes to health Ins.

Anyhow, as for funner things.. HALLOWEEN!!!! Yippppeeee!!! It has been sooo cool here for afew days, and ow a heat wave this week. How SILLY!!! Did you see the arctic melting on T.V. Sooo freaky. Scary.

AS for scary movies. The original Exorcist will always be awful to me. Can't even think about it. Or I will see her sitting in the middle of the road as I make my treck home at night.....

I am pretty good at freaking myself out alone. But, I love watching scary movies in the early afternoon. xooxoxox

glad you are feeling a teensy bit better overall even though still, well, sick. I second a tale of two sisters (see the original before the US version comes out) and audition, I can send you mine if you like. I am addicted to scary movies. How about Opera? I always rewatch Scream around this time for a good laugh and I can not sleep whenever I see the first halloween, I am scared now thinking about it.

Yeah, I don't do scary movies. My hubby can't understand why I saw "Resident Evil: Evolution" and have NO DESIRE WHATSOVER to see "30 Days of Night."

"What's the difference?" he asks.

It's nothing like watching Buffy or Angel and I hate movies that are filmed in the dark. You can't see a damn thing!

That sounds like a good question to ask one of my characters. In honor of Teen Read Week next week, I'll be posting interviews with the main characters from my novels. If you'd like to ask my girls a question, pop on over.
