I am so not a morning person

argh.

blech

yuck

you know, I really don;t like the morning time, I know I know, it's beautiful and all that, and I really should love the freshness and beauty of it all, but this morning (hell, all mornings) I don't.

This morning especially, as I stayed up too late reading my new book, so I was feeling extra groggy this morning. My bubs is a morning person, so this morning he was in bed a little longer than usual as he did not have to be at the restaurant until 8:00...he was being awfully chatty.

Don;t get me wrong, it's adorable, but you see, I was having this dream that I was an eccentric old lady living in a hotel, I was wearing a Chanel suit and there were lots of people around...it was both creepy and delicious.

My bubs must have thought I was awake because he started to talk to me about a bunch of stuff, mainly I just whimpered and grunted my way though the majority of the conversation, but I did get fixated on a few things he was saying...one being that a friend of his was getting rid of his button making machine.w..my little ears perked up...until he told me that he was probably going to give it to someone else....now I am thinking only of buttons, and how much I want a machine...

Damn It!!!! I am beelining into button machine OCD and I don't have the money for one, why can't there be a button machine fairy that I could send cakes to in order to get a machine. I would make the best buttons, I could have a series of fashiony ones with the models looking all cracked out, I could have a series of vintage ladies, of paintings, of shoes...you see it would be wonderful.

ok moving on.

Yesterday I listed a bunch of new pieces in my shop, including a series of miniature collages, they are all 4x4 inches and ship with a cute little acrylic stand so you can display them at once, they are perfect for a desk or shelf. I have them all grouped together in my work space and they look like a little army of eye candy.

I also listed a new set of blocks titled "I Waited A Year For You To Return" .

I love making blocks, so very much, I am so glad that my friend Lula convinced me to do them. Today I have some fun and not so fun work ahead of me...not so fun being selling some old stuff left over from the shop (comics) on Ebay, and fun stuff meaning finishing up a couple new pendants as well as a larger collage that I am just aching over...really I am very proud of it.

ok, enough enough...must get to work..I alsomuct think of my celebrity to write to tomorrow.

until then.

Ohhhh 4 X 4 I'm going to check them out!!! I bet their veyr cute! It's fun to make something soo small and is a great feeling when you get them all done. :) Fun, Fun, Fun! I love your boxes..and as far as a machine goes...I have wanted a sewing machine. Is that the same as the machine you were speaking of? I think that one you were talking about helps put on buttons or something. Anyhoo....I have wanted a sewing machine for some time now..and can't afford one either. So we're in the same boat girl! :) *HUGS*

That was a bit evil of morning bubs to mention a button machine being given away but not to you ;-)

I checked out your new items in your shop early this AM, love them all!

Oh celebs, it might be time to write Alanis since I am still cracking up over her my humps video. Gosh, I wish I was a star who could just get friends with great equipment to come over to do drugs (them, not me) and make quality videos for fun to put out on youtube.

Crappy mornings are the worst. Blech. Maybe your day will get better. The "fun" things you have to do sound great!

Love the minis!

lol and your OCD with button machines. You definitely need one. Maybe you will get lucky and someone will read this post and give you one. I have to admit I am the same way when I hear about something like that.

Looked into some button machines myself....boy are they pricey-and someone is giving one away?! I decided I'd have to sell way more than I am now to get one! LOL!

Hope your art stuff is all ok-I guess it doesn't like mornings either!

Seriously love the blocks and the new collages on easels!

Can't believe you live in Westerberg OH (or Westerville, is it?)--sorry i was just reading emma's blog and saw your response. Heathers is the best ever, and I'm so happy to hear that it was spot on. Hah!
Anyway... I can definitely appreciate the frustration of a crappy morning!
I love your stuff btw. The 2nd pic especially (is that Marlena Deitrich?)

Okay, the MySpace blogs are down for "special maintenance" so you get a Blogger comment today:

JftB: Why do you wake up so early? Seriously, if I was a self-employed Artist About Town, I would sleep until noon everyday.

Then I would eat some Pop Tarts.

Then I would read a bunch of snotty music blogs.

Then I would take a nap.

After waking up, I would watch a movie.

Then I would take a nap.

Somewhere in there I would drink a Lo Carb Monster and eat some really unhealthy food.

Finally, at some point in the evening, I would write, like, two lines of dialogue on my screenplay.

Then I would go watch the Daily Show/Colbert Report Power Hour.

Seriously, I'm impressed with your drive. Keep up the good work!

Are button makers really expensive? I feel like I must have one of those lying about the scary library storeroom somewhere.
